Vlog 3: Women in British Painting

Hi, dear readers!

Welcome to the third and last, but not least, entry in our vlog. We bet you all have been wondering nonstop what would be the theme of it, and it is none other than women in British painting. 

We are going to be analyzing how painting,  just for a change, was dominated by male in early periods and the struggle female painters had to carry out in order to achieve some recognition in this world. From the revolutionary pioneers of the 18th century, to modern and contemporary painters who nowadays keep exploring new ideas, themes and concepts. 

Moreover, we will briefly examine how the wider access to education, the changes in law and society, and the new cultural ideas contributed for women to integrate themselves in British art, which brought new topics and stylistic devices.
